Scum bag bailiffs.?
hello i have a little issue over a parking fine that i have not paid because it was issued by a court that is 150 miles from where i live and i can categorically say that i have never ever been to this place in my life, thus meaning this cannot be my fine, so i have been in contact with the court who issued the fine to state my innocence in this but they ruled because i cannot prove that i have never been to their little town the fine still stands.
So disgusted with the out come i have just refuse to pay the fine and now the totally unprofessianl bailiff company who have taken over the dept keep on sending final demand after final demand and now the £40 fine is now at £540 they say it is that much because of the three or four letters they have sent me, now to me this feels like i am being legally extorted, can the bailiffs just add £500 to this phanton fine that in my eyes does not exist.
so any one with half an idea of where i stand please answer thankyou.

It is the parking authorities at fault. If you have been in contact only with the court, you have probably lost your opportunity to resolve the matter. You should have contacted the parking authority itself. The court is only acting on instructions from the parking authority while the bailiffs are simply doing their job acting on instructions from the court. The root of the problem lies with the council/company who issued the original ticket.
Find a lawyer.
Is it worth fighting over I was young and full of fight did the same as you in the end it cost me ten times the fine I know it's hard but think about the time you are spending Pay it but rub the money on you back side it's all you can do!
well, you fought the law and the law wins. you are going to have to pay, can you get a license if you don't pay it. in the u.s. you couldn't get it until debt is paid. fighting for what is right is great just sometimes it is cheaper to pay the bill. good luck
how are they proving this person is you.do they have your plate numbers.could it be a form of identity theft.or are they just mistaken.if they are why even worry about it.my cell phone bill tripled in three months 1 st month 300 second month 600 third month 900 and my bill was 60 dollars a month .i told sprint they were loosing Thai minds. they been sending bills ever since .yes i said sprint.i get them out the mailbox turn a little to the right and drop in the trash can.
