How do i get a marriage annulment?

my husband has not been living with me since the eighteenth of september two thousand and five...the marriage was unconsumated and there has been little verbal contact since. I would like ennulment but i am afraid of contacting a solicistor in the case that he may be entitled to any of my assets, even though my home is in my name and was mine before the marriage, i have a son from a previous relationship who i want to be soul heir. is there anybody that could advise me as to what my ex partner could be entitled to and what proceduers do i have to go through to for annulment...

Why you should be afraid of contacting your solicitor is beyond my comprehension. I'm American, but our laws are based on the laws of England. If your marriage was not consummated, you were never legally married in a sense. The grounds for annulment include failure to consummate the marriage, mental defect or disorder and fraud in the inducement. Your home before marriage remains your home and your son should be your only heir. If you talk to your solicitor, you will learn the procedures, but I believe you have nothing to be concerned about. I normally do not answer British legal questions, but please discuss this with your solicitor. The answer may be a pleasant surprise. If it isn't, bad news does not get better by waiting. Also, if he has any property rights--which I doubt--those rights get stronger each day you wait. EDIT: What you tell your solicitor is confidential. He cannot contact your "husband" without your permission. If you don't trust your solicitor or if you and he used the same solicitor, go to a different one who specializes in matrimonial law.

Call your local marriage license place, if they can give you a licenses they might know what direction to point you in to get it annulled. Good Luck :)
consumate it

then give him half I think

that avoids the solcister
I think annulments must be filed within first year...
Annulment is available via the church. I think even if the church annuls your marraige you may still have to file for divorce through the civil courts.
1. Talk to a priest
2. Get a lawyer
try contacting government mariage office, or lawyer, mabe even a religious leader could help?
you are out of luck a simple divorce will work now but mostly because of the consumation you are screwed ..no pun intended.call the court house they will have you answeres you are looking for.good luck
Um...that sounds fishy.

Be specific. What type of solicitor? why would he take your assets? and how?
Why would you want your son to be the soul heir? Does your ex-husband have proof of interest in the house? can he prove that in court?

You have soo much you need to do...and lastly, annulments are more expensive than divorces.(last time I checked).
