How do I find someone who owes me money?
A few years back (when I was young and stupid), I loaned a co-worker $200. She said she would pay be back with her next pay check. Yeah, right. I wrote her the check, she cashed it, and I never saw her again. I still have the check she cashed as proof, but I cant find her.
She has since moved away from her parents, and no one really knows where she lives now. She sometimes uses her mother's maiden name, which makes her even harder to find. I've tried searching the internet for her, but I havent really had any luck.
And idea how I can hunt her down?

In most states, the statue of limitations for a verbal agreement is 2 years, if it has been that long or longer, chalk it up to experience and move on with you life, but never, ever loan anyone anything without a written agreement.
It would be difficult and expensive, probably requiring some background check or private investigator.
Also, if it was more than 2 years ago, you will almost certainly not get a dime back, even if you did find her.
Just cut your losses and don't loan people money anymore.
Unless you have something else in writing other than the check, you really don't have anything to go on. She can claim it was a gift and you have no way to prove it was not.
