Being intimidated by boss and was wondering if I need a witness to what hes says?record it? to do anything?
ok, I hurt my back at work, in the state of washington, and told my boss about it. he made an appointment for me to go see his chiropractor, I then went to my own doctor first (which is where I started the workers comp claim) told I could see the chiro if I wanted, but if it didnt work after 1 or 2 times then dont go back if I dont want to. The doc also gave me restrictions for work, so after seeing the chiro on a monday I went in to my workthe following day on tues. and my boss was upset that I had seen another doctor than his chiro, and was telling me I shouldnt take the meds I got and I shouldnt go back to my doctor I was only to see one or the other and if I went back to my doc that I "might as well look for another job"... so after that I went to my 2nd appt at his chiro a few hours later and the chiro started talking to me about the same stuff of only him handling my claim and saying stuff I had just spoke to my boss about that he shouldnt of know. Don't record anything- that will go against you. Get a lawyer! You are required to go to your employer's doctor to start your claim (I think).
I injured my back about 9 years ago. I did what my employer told me. They made me feel like I was faking the pain. I did not get a lawyer, and regret it. My back has been hurting since, and I have numbness in my head and neck.
Don't fight your boss- just do what you can- follow the doctors advice. CALL A PERSONAL INJURY LAWYER! Keep your lips closed tight at work.
