Can anyone make a contract for me or help me make one?

i just need one to help make my lazy brother do stuff around the house. he just eats, sleeps, and watches television. so can any one make one that has no loop holes or lead me to a website that can generate one for me or have an outline. i know that you have to have it legally made, but my brother doesn't know that. and he's afraid of the government.

thanks any help is greatly appreciated ;)

From what I understand (you'll need to make sure, but I'm pretty certian), a basic contract between you and someone else does not have to be notarised or anything.

Make sure it is in INK
Make sure it states the timeline
Make sure you both sign it
You BOTH must be over the age of 18
Make sure that it states in there somewhere, something like "in signing this contract, I am not under any duress, force, intoxication/influence (legal and/or illegal), emotional or physical state, or otherwise."
Of course, everything must be legal
State the consequence for not following the contract
State when the consequence will be enforced once a violation is completed

Just in case he decides to be a d*k once you bring this up, (*just an example)

Before, he knew that it wouldn't be cool to go through my stuff or to use my Xbox 360 in my room or to use my cellphone,

however, it didn't say in the contract that he was not allowed to use it, so now he does and there is nothing I can do!!

Make sure you cover chores, rights, responsibilities, guests, privliges, utilities, rent, sleeping quarters, your responsibilities, etc, all the way down to how many hours a week he is entitled to the remote and the couch (IF you think it's gonna be like that)

I'm not 100% certian, because my sister-in-law told me this, but I've heard that if a person stays overnight at your house, even if it is just one night, they can make you give them a 30 day notice of eviction to leave.

And if you don't, your contract is completely voided

Just a heads up, but you'll want to double check that

etc...
good luck!

Is it your house? Just look up eviction notices and I'm sure you'll be able to find an example of one to print up to scare him.
Does he pay rent? If so a roomate agreement can also be found that documents exactly what is expected of each roomate, and if they break it they can be evicted...
If this is just a sibling thing, than I don't know how to help.
Do you want this contract to be enforceable in the court system? In order for a contract to be valid (binding in court) It must contain 5 main elements. Your brother must accept your offer. You both must mutually agree to the same thing at the same time, and the purpose must be legal. You also must make it clear what each of you will receive in return for your promise to uphold the contract (ie: you give him a place to live for working). You both must also be of legal age. For examples of some contracts you can use for free see the link below. I also reccommend looking up the essential elements in a contract so you can read them over and understand them better. It's good information to know.
