Has anyone ever heard of a mother signing for her 16 yr daughter to marry after her father sued for custody?

My son in law sued for custody after the mothers boyfriend was arrestted for selling drugs. The Judge says unless a case is found in another court .theres he can do. Fathers tring to get her in comtempt of court

Answer:
The mother and father ( Or whomever has current custody) is morally and legally responsible for providing a safe and healthy environment for the child. Child being anyone 17 and younger in most states. Drug Dealers are not good role models for kids. I don't understand the "marry" bit. No one 16 years of age should EVER EVER EVER get married.

the father may have a very strong case for contempt and for fraud upon the court. So, who are you in this story?
It depends so much on the laws in the state. If the mother signed before custody was granted then there is probably little that can be done. Legally she had the right to do so until that right is altered by the court. If a restraining order can be filed before a marriage occurs that is a possible stop gap but if the marriage has occurred, it's probably too late. Sounds like a child caught in the middle of a bitter situation.
