What are the most hours a day a employer can force me to work in michigan ?

Answers:
If you are a salary paid employees they can demand you work enough hours to do the job you were hired to do 40 to 70 hours a week.Depends what was told to you upon hiring.
Hourly wages are negotiable in most cases. You have to work at least 32 hours to be called a full time employee and to get insurance and benefits. after 40 hours you can work as many hours as you want but will be paid overtime. Most Businesses don't want you working overtimes,it cost them more.
oops, sorry didn't notice being made.Salary laws are the same as above.I really do not know the day hours but i have worked as many as 20 hours in a 24 hour period over two days, like Monday and Tuesday (24 hour stretch) it was not illegal. i would call you equal opportunity office I hope my rambling helped a little bit.Good luck to you on labor laws for that one.

No more than 24.
If your a minor you can't work more than 5hrs without a break.
As for adults.. I don't know, the longest shift I've worked is 14hrs.
First of all, slavery was abolished, so they can't force you to do anything, you can quit. Secondly, employers are required to post the fair labor laws in the break room which spells out the hours and breaks required by Federal and State Laws. If that doesn't help then call your local Labor board and talk to them if you feel they have violated the laws. Good luck and remember life's to short to work at a job you hate, go back to school and get into something that interest you and you will enjoy it more and the hours won't matter.
Don't listen to Mel; she's wrong, as usual!! I work 30 or less, and have benefits. If I work over 40, I get paid the same hourly wage I make if I work less than 40.
