Do you think Prostitution should be legal?
Answers:
I have mixed feelings over this one..however, doesn't law enforcement have better things to do with their limited resources and time, like catching real criminals?
**Enigma has a point but if it was legal wouldn't it be easier to control? I was thinking of Nevada, of course the Johns there are very transient *since most are vacationers* so it would be difficult to get real stats at best...
...below there is a post about pimps. If it was legalized then there would be no need for pimps.
y not
it is.in Nevada
ya. it's easy money
No.
no whore!
Yup - legalized, taxed and regulated.
I don't see why its illegal. It's hard to get caught nowadays so arresting one or two won't stop it
yes will save people from rape
No, but it might as well be. I don't think the fines deter therm much.
I thought it already was...it's called politics
no...its a growse and discusting thing and I strongly believe that it shouldnt be legal.
but then how could you expose the sleazy politicians if it was legal?
I don't know, if girls and guys want to have people pay them to have sex with them then thats their business.
Yes. It's the oldest profession in the world. By making it legal, it would be cleaner and safer and put pimps out of business.
I also think drugs should be legalized for similar reasons.
No. There is no real way to regulate such an act of insecurity. Although you think your body belongs to you, the government actually owns it. (facetiously speaking). Remember, love yourself first.
No comments......Ther... are lots of women out there who have sex w/ loads of guys but they don't get prosecuted because they don't charge......
Yes.
The goverment can then regain taxes from it and also mandate health testing for the workers.
Yes.
Ask officials in Amerstdam and check the health stats of the STD cases.
Then realize that we the tax payers would pay for the medical treatment of all if not, most of the hookers and johns
Yes, imagine the tax dollars that would bring in.
Well now, I believe that it already is in Washington DC. I mean we, the public are getting legally screwed everyday aren't we??
Yes, it's up to the person to do what they want with themselves. And it is in Nevada in monitored houses that screen you for std's to work for them.
umm...i dont think so! that is demoralizing yourself, your country, and all the poor men and women and families that suffer from the reprocussions of this disgusting "proffession". Not only is it flat out wrong, but it keeps diseases circulating and causes only bad for everyone involved. what do you think about this? just curious?>>>
Why do you have aspirations for career path in that field?
And no it shouldn't. That is substandard of a human to be selling their bodies. Doing that is reducing yourself to an animal. You're brain is supposed to be bigger than a chimps, so use it.
There would be no legislature that would legalize that. Their political career would never get out of the cutter, I mean street corner.
SURE..AS LONG AS MY SWEETY DOESN'T GO TO ONE.....SHYRA W.
As long as there are no pimps involved and the girl or guy is doing it of their free will , it is a victimless crime.so yeah
No reason for it to be illegal in this day in age. It's a personal choice between consenting adults. Paying for a service that someone is willing to give. You can call it selling your body...but what do farmers and laborers do? Anyone who works with their hands or their backs is jeopardizing their body in the name of money.
And making it illegal hasn't stopped it from happening anyway, so what's the point? Making it legal will actually make it safer...standards can be enforced for health, minimum age requirements and workers' rights.
Definatlly not
Sure i think everyone should have an equal opportunity, but if it where to become nationally legal, as a real profession, then there would have to be rules:
1. No elementary schools
2.No high school football games
3.No public Pools
lol what a thought.
