Where can I do a public record search on companies and people for free without hidden fees wanted?

Answers:
the companys are easy. You need to know where the company is doing business then find the Secretary of State website for that state and they will have a business registration site where you can find the information.

As for people, all of the sites charge for access.

There is no free lunch. I know of no service that is free! No one will give away a service that is in such demand.

You may check with individual state agencies, regarding marriage and death records, adoption records, and the feds may have military records, but even they charge something.
Look up Dunn & Bradstreet. They are what people use in business to show good business practices and credit history. I do not know if you have to pay because at my office we can just pull them up. Worth a chance.
