How can Bush make Irak safe when he can't even make America safe?

Just look at statistics on crime rates, it's greater in the U.S. than in many other countries.
Kidnappings, missing people, homocides, drugs, armed robberies, pedofiles, etc, etc, etc, the list goes on.
Are these the American values Bush wants to impose democratickly to other countries.
Progress cannot be an excuse for crime.
Do you feel safe at home from burglers on parrole?
Do you feel safe on your way to work and not being a car jacking victum?
Are your kids safe at school from bullies and other colombines wanta be's?
Do you feel safe anywhere you are right now, even while answering this question?
Bush should make Amerians safe first, then try to help others by example.

Salis...nice answer...that was just as ignorant as you are! He has a good point here about the President. I don't feel safe and I worry all the time about being attacked and my children. The world has not gotten better it has gotten worse since the whole Iraq thing. I am tired of it and wish we could bring our troops home before they are all killed and wives are raising their children alone because of Bush and his careless decisions.

Run for election and see how you can do. Easier criticizing on the outside than doing something on the inside.

I'd vote for you. Can't be any worse. lol
1. National security is usually more important than domestic security.

2. Crime rates are much lower under George Bush than many of his predecessors.

3. Yeah, I feel pretty safe. And so does my .38 special.
I'm not sure what you mean - he's made us safe from another terrorist attack in the US!
I bet that Castro's Cuba is a model you'd like to follow, as their citizens are scared to death to do any of the things you list :)

BTW...substitute "Superman" for "Bush"...lol...because you think the president has the power to stop all crimes in a free society...be everywhere at once, arresting evil-doers.
What would you want the president do to correct the situation? He has always been a proponent of law enforcement and support enforcing law on the books. Crime prevention begins at the local level by communities looking out for each other. If you look at the "values" Bush supports vs his opponents you would see that his "values" are in line with what you desire. Crime is a constant problem with all societies.
Uh, don't quite know how to break this to you but crime in the US is at an all time low. And the president doesn't inforce local laws. Your city, state and county do that. Just curious. Has your home been burglerized?
You must remember that the federal gov't has to respect the sovereignty of states. if you do not feel safe, perhaps you should contact your local officals. furthermore, get licensed to carry a gun. according to ABC news with john stossel, there is no evidence showing that gun control makes us safer, in fact the opposite is true. so, get a gun and join the nra.
i agree.hes not doing anything for the US that i can see.we have illegal immigrants running our streets that commit all kinds of crimes against us.they are in our schools, our jobs, and some are even trying to get in our government. they demonstrate against our laws and try to get us to change them.they are taking over our benifit programs that are supposed to be for the US people. we have terrorist cells here that one day will rise and kill once again, and all he is doing is watching these criminals and waiting for them to strike instead of getting rid of them once and for all. i myself do not feel safe anywhere, day or night.yes we have US citizens who also commit these crimes but we lock them up,not give them a slap on the wrist and send them home .just so they can come and do it again.instead of sending all our money over seas to help the iraqis they ought to be using it to rebuild our country, and help our poor.if he would give all of our poor people a chance they would do the jobs that he says the immigrants are doing because he says we don't want them.
