I also like the fact that Im paying the guy on the corner instead of "mr. Big Pockets", Your getting the same sensation most others are getting by going to the doc paying a copay and prescription cost.
Recreational drugs stimulate pleasure centers in your brain, which could be stimulated in legal ways, too.

Pupils dilate, making the world appear a little brighter, more vivid. Respiration increases, pumping additional oxygen into your circulatory system. Random synapse firings trigger new and unexpected thoughts, depending upon what you have taken, and how.
The down side, of course, is waking up on a filthy mattress, outside in the rain, in a pool of your own sick and the fecal filth of stray animals, with social diseases you did not know existed.
When using drugs parts (or the whole) of your mind is out of control, and you find decisions easier -

Drugs are fun. That's why people do drugs.
Anyone who has never done drugs will never understand that. People take drugs because drugs are fun. Millions of people take drugs every day and don't end up addicts or sleeping on dirty mattresses etc...
All things in moderation. Abuse of drugs causes your life to spin out of control. Responsible use of drugs causes fun. Irresponsibility causes your life to spiral downward. Responsible use of drugs can be very rewarding.
That's why drugs will never go away. Nothing that is fun ever goes away.
That drugs are illegal causes all the violence and the problems. Drugs themselves just happy you up!

be. But alas, when you come down you are still
the same person.So, you need more to get back
to where you want to be. A hurtfull cycle. Been There. Try being yourself.
You're dellusional. You just think it's better. And in reality, the problems you are trying to escape from just keep getting bigger and bigger.
But one day you won't have to worry about it, you'll be dead.
