What are the consequences for hiring a delivery driver on a suspended license?
how much trouble would the individual employer get into? and how much trouble would the company get into? thanks a lot people!

A lot; it is the company's responsibility to run a BMV check prior to hiring an individual for delivery and if they expect the person to use their own vehicle, demanding that valid proof of insurance be filed with the company at all times.
Insurance will not cover the suspended individual if there were an accident and the company could be sued for any and all damages to any vehicles and persons, including medical bills and punative damages, the suspended licensed person would damage cause, even if it is the other parties fault in the accident due to their negligence in not checking with the BMV or much worse, if they were aware of the suspended license and allowed the driver to operate on behalf of the company anyway as they have deeper pocket than the uninsurable license suspended motorist that they either neglectfully or willfully allowed to represent them (unless the suspension occured during a term of employment and the employee failed to notify their employer, then the blame could be shifted 100% to the employee). However, prudent employers run check either every 6 months or at least once a year on all delivery drivers.
Knowing that a person has problems with his/her driving record and letting them drive anyway, you/the company assume full responsibility and liability for their actions.

honestly, i dont think there would be any problems.you can play the stupid act, how would you have known? if the driver gets caught and for some reason the cops question you about it (which i doubt they will) just claim you had no idea, as long as he carries the actual card, there is no way you could have known.
