Should michael vick ever play football again?
lets assume he is convicted on the counts and he is sentenced to time in the federal pen (its federal because his organization crossed state lines). First off, does the NFL has policies regarding convicted criminals playing after a sentence?
If they dont, do you think, ethically and morally, he will ever be respected again as a player? Do you think he should be allowed to play?
In my opinion, there is no way that he should play. Players are not only supposed to be talented but are supposed to uphold a certain level of honesty, integrity and ethical behavior. Vick has clearly shown he has betrayed this standard. What are your thoughts?

The question is what time will sign him after that? He's a big risk and he may not help the team value. He won't be marketable so i think his career is over if he's convicted.
Absolutely not!! He does not deserve a life anymore really. I hope he gets sued and losses everything. He is scum if you ask me.
I think he will make a great addition to the jailhouse team.
Sure he should play. I'll bet he will have no problem getting some of the other criminals in the yard to play a game.
I'm not sure about the rules, but the NFL should not allow Vick to return. He's clearly a lawbreaking scumbag, which the league is already full of (see half the Bengals roster). The NFL needs to clean up its image because a lot of kids idolize these players. They should not be admiring a dog abusing scumbag like Vick.
I don't think he should ever play again. He should also be
thrown to the very dogs he made fight.
His value is obviously reduced, but it is not like he killed someone. He should pay his debt to society if found guilty and then see if anybody wants him. I imagine a few will after it quiets down.
N E V E R ....Read my lips-N E V E R !..
The truth is the laws regarding animal abuse is so weak, Vick will never see a day behind bars and this $100 million dollar ball-player will buy his way out by paying a fine and donating to some animal shelter as a sense of remorse.
And, you could throw in Duante Culpepper in there with Vick as his next "golfing" partner playing 18 holes with O.J.
I will definitely go out of my way NOT to buy that soup.
Sure if he wants to. The problem for him is that the next team he will play for is "The Mean Machine".
It's just a dog. Yeah, I know I'm going to get a lot of crap for that, but it's still just a freaking dog. Jeez, everybody turns into the damn Lorax when an animal is involved. Ray Lewis is still playing -- Oh wait, he killed a DAWG, not a dog.
I've had dogs, I've raised dogs, I've had to put down dogs, I've been bit by dogs, I've hunted with dogs. They can be quite useful, they can be fun and heartwarming to have around, but they are just dogs. They can't love you back, not in the way most people who love dogs say they do. They are instinctual, they will protect those in their pack, but that's not love, not like us bipeds have. They are just dogs. No, I don't fight dogs, I don't think what Vick did is deserving of any medals, but he doesn't deserve the hate that's been heaped on him. It's funny, I find that most people who are so compassionate about animals are absolute ***holes to other people.
Poor Mr. Vick, what a bum deal he's gotten.
A man of privilege, money and power spending his hard earned cash to torture, rape, mutilate and kill animals, putting those animals on display, beating them, betting on them, electrocuting them and not to mention various and sundry other forms of inhumane unspeakable acts. Why this is America, the land of the free and home of the brave, we are the example to the rest of the world on how to conduct oneself, we can do anything we want, and anyway he is not responsible for his behavior (I am sure he is a victim of something).. He's just a wealthy privileged guy trying to get along in this world. Behind that lovely mansion sat all those expensive implements of pain and torment. He could have done so much more with what he had been given.. but he chose this. That entertainment!
He should not be allowed to play ever again.
I think that any professional athlete convicted of a felony should be banned from participating in professional sports, period. No exceptions, no favoritism, no double standards; if you do the crime, then you aren't fit to fill the spot that a real role model should have.
