What could be the consequences for this at school?

If you have your cell phone confiscated, the principal orders you to hand it to him by the end of the day, and then you give him a decoy (an old cell phone that you don't use anymore)?

Answers:
Id say nothing..Id say thats smart.

hopefully he dont figure it out
How would they know? That's actually quite clever.
As long as its "your" old cell phone and he didn't specifiy which one you were to give, I'd say nothing.
nothing - just don't get caught using your real phone again
It would only work if you hadn't been seen having a conversation on it or if it hadn't rung in some way in class. Principals and teachers aren't stupid you know. Give him some credit for having completed high school, college, graduate school and a good deal of LIFE, whereas you have not.
good plan i don't think they can keep your cell phone anyways maybe give it to your parents.
if they found out I'm sure they could try to suspend you or something but make sure you cover your butt and not take your cell with you anymore.
If you get caught with the second one, you will have to turn that in too. You are lucky, when I was in school, the principle would have slammed you up against the locker or the teacher would have paddled your butt in front of the class and you would have never brought your little phone to school again. Then when you got home, you got it even worse. So play your little games if it amuses you, because reality is around the corner and you can get fired from your job over this.
well, he did ask for your cell phone! That is simply one that you don't use anymore, it is still yours!!
Any way, what kind of goonie principal asks for a cell phone at the end of the day instead of NOW?
I suppose the punishment would be that they had to go to Saturday two weekends in a row, instead of just one. that is how it works at my school.
nothing unless you get caught, then you probably will get a detention or suspension for lying, but I dunno,it really depends on your school
If he finds out (and he probably will) then you are in trouble. The consequences depend on the principal and the policy of the school.
In this scenario, you have done as he asked: He told you to give him your cell phone, and the cell phone you gave him was yours. Just don't bring that cell phone or any other back to school and don't mention to him that you put one over on him.
I've been wondering if kids really think this far in advance, and you just answered that question. You actually do. Unbelievable. I have a few questions; what grade are you in? If you are a junior high kid, then this may seem quite harsh. If you are a high school kid, then this is mild because you really need to pull your head out of your ***. My second question to you; Where the hell are your parents, and is this how they raised you? Think about the question you are asking. Don't try to pull any b.s. with a principal or a parent, you will probably get caught. Just because you were a complete incompitent idiot and thought you could get away with it, doesn't mean it's o.k. Wake the hell up and start becoming a productive member of society. It's the same as if you and a friend went to the store with the intent to rob it. You and he walk into the store, but at the last second you chicken out. You are caught on camera holding a weapon, he steals the money, and you get caught. Should you be punished? Absofrickinlutely you should. You went into that store with the intent of stealing. That is WRONG and you should get punished. If you willingly withhold something from an authority figure (police officer, teacher, principal, parent etc.) then you should be punished to the fullest extent that is possible for that crime. If the school district policy says that the second offence is punishable by expulsion (probably a little harsh) then you should get expelled on that first offence because you willingly and KNOWINGLY actually committed two offences. Then you should get punished for the second offense and a few others as well, just for being a complete idiot. Quit being a bonehead and do the right thing. If you feel it is wrong in your heart, then it probably is you moran. How about instead of thinking of ways to get away with doing something wrong; try doing your homework, get involved at school, join a sports team, an academic team or the school band. Something productive. THINK BEFORE YOU END UP IN JAIL!
not much , just ask for the real one, and id turn it in with out the battery so you can say that you want to make sure no one looks at your personal information much less try to use up your minutes.
neet trick
Expulsion. Plain and simple.
As a Parent I had a daughter get caught using her cell and she got it back at the end of the day. The fact is that the parent owns the phone, as a child (someone under 18) can't really own it. If the school intended to keep it, I would go and get it back. At my daughter's school, she got 6 hours of Saturday school or suspended one day. ( What a dumb choice schools give). She was busy (dance) on Saturdays, so she picked a day when there would be no tests and took it off. Also, the vice principle told her that if she had to make a call, (medical, parent etc,) come to his office and call from there. In your case, if they intend to keep the phone, I would myself have told my daughter to take a worthless and give it do them. They are wrong to keep property that is not that of the person they take if off of.
Now I wonder one thing. How can you have your phone confiscated, and then have it to turn over to the principal? Does he give you a couple of hours to say good bye?
