In Califfornia what rights do i have to stay in home after owner has died?

Answers:
It depends -- what was your relation to the owner. If you were a legal tenant, chances are the executor would prefer that you stay and pay rent until the place can be sold. If you were mooching off some old guy, and just living in his house, you probably don't have much in the way of rights -- but then again, you may there too. You need to find out who is the executor on the owner's estate, and ask them if you can stay.

But if they want you out so they can sell the place, you don't have much chance of staying beyond 30 days.

None, prepare for eviction.
It's California. You don't have any rights
What?

I'd suggest you begin finding a place...welcome to the terminator state!
Zilch. You might get 30 days notice, at most.
You have the right to get out and find another place to live.
Did you really think you could stay there indefinitely?
