What are the statute of limitations for misdermeaners for the State of West Virginia?

My friend was caught driving a car on a suspended DL for DUI, and he thinks if he is away for a year and a day, it will go away.

Answers:
Not likely. Tell him to come back and answer for it, because DUI cases rarely go away. The longer he avoids it (and they have computers, him being out of the state won't help), the worse it's going to be when he gets back.
