Scrumping Apples from Farms/Orchids: nutritious national pastime or wicked anti social behaviour?

Answers:
There are many varrying cultures in The US to include the separate Indian Nations; many of whom, do not believe in owning the Earth- That the land is just there & you walk on it, and take from it just what you need. Other cultures; The US specifically, believe in owning land, property & possessions. It might not be too bad to just take a few Apples when no one is noticing, so long as you don't make a habit of it and/or take too many. Other than that, I would advise one to know their neighbors- It may depend on who the people are, their attitudes towards such matters, etc. If you're concerned, I would recommend that you simply politely ask if you may have a few Apples. Most reasonable people are willing to share if they have some Apples to spare.

If you can get an apple from an orchid, you deserve it.
The former. Happy days.
Scrumping is one of the oldest mischievous tricks there is - part of growing up. Every kid should go and do it sometime!
Obviously its the scourge of todays society. Anyone caught doing it should be shot on sight.

To be honest, police should have better things to do with their time then worry about the odd apple.
But kids today dont take apples, they take sweets and chocolate.
Anyone with sense would say it is a nutritious national pastime. The apples that fall to the ground are often left to go bad anyway so why waste them?

If the police want to arrest people we have some horrible little hoodies in our area they can start with.
