Answers:
I am sorry to say, but if he drags you in the court, he would win. Not unless your insurance has already determined that it was not your fault. You could use that as your defense. Otherwise, i am afraid you have to pay him the money.
You're joking, right? It's YOUR fault, and since you just caused his insurance to jack sky high, it's no wonder you're being sued.
You drove it, you're responsible if his insurance denies coverage for it. If the insurance covers it, then he shouldn't be suing you...his insurance company should handle it.
You can try to recover from the person who caused the accident (the person who cut you off), if you can find him/her.
Have you offered to pay for the car?
PS-- You did borrow the car with his permission right? If not, then he could have you charged with theft- possibly grand theft.
Why would it be his fault, he was away, you stole his car and totalled it, Friends don't steel their friends car. Be glad he didn't choke ya,
You made the decision to borrow his car without asking.
You wrecked the car.
How is your accident your friend's fault?
If you are old enough to drive a car; you are old enough to accept the consequences of your actions.
As I see it; you have no defense.
You did borrow HIS car. You were driving the HIS car. He is without a car now. Is it his fault for loaning you HIS car? You wrecked HIS car. Replace HIS car. Pretty simple.
You're lucky you didn't go to jail for UAUMV (unauthorized use of a motor vehicle),
Pay him for his car, friendship does NOT mean you can destroy his car and not pay for it.
your a dumb-@ss, and I'd be kickin it all the way down the block..and everytime I seen you, or til you paid in full...
