Should terminal sedation be considered a form of assisted suicide or murder?

Terminal sedation is not suppose to be used as either. In most cases, the term, which is relatively new, is used in cases such as comatose patients, vegetative like state patients, etc. Terry Shrivo (spelling may be off) was basically the same thing only without the drugs. They let her starve to death. Although I did not agree with what happened to her, sedating her would have been more humane than what they did.
I think this topic is right there with the death penalty question. Is it murder or punishment for the crime.

Well, it depends on the particular situation. Assisted Suicide is usually in cases where it is known that the dead person wanted to die and was seeking help. Otherwise it would be considered murder.
It becomes a difficult notion to determine whether or not it really was assisted suicide or murder as the deceased can not say if it was or not. It would help murder cases all around if they could, but alas they can't. So there really must be a great deal of proof that they had a true desire to die or straight up murder charges come down.
