Chain of Command?
I have applied for a concealed handgun license in Arkansas. I am having some problems though. The Arkansas State Police has drug their feet to the tune of 4 times the average wait. I do not bug them with letters and phone calls. I am trying to remain tactful but its getting me nowhere. I think it's crap that I wait 4 months to hear fom them and whan I do email them they request more finger prints.. What I simply want to know is who (higher up) do I email to complain about the dismal process they are putting me through, which exceeds other aplicant's O am qualified for the CCW by the way.

I'm not from Arkansas. I'm from Pennsylvania, where I have a concealed weapons permit. Several years ago I was going to be driving through Arkansas and wanted to carry my gun. I contacted the State Police and they redirected me to the State Attorney Generals Office. Here's a link.

I don't know if it will help, but it might. By the way, thanks for going through the process to carry legally.
Sounds to me like they might not think you're as qualified as you do. Let the process take it's course -- if they haven't given you the permit yet, I'm sure there's a reason for it.
Are you in that much of a hurry to shoot people with a gun they don't know you have? Just wait it out and deal with it.
