Today my hair stylist got bleach in my eye. Remedies?
As my colorist was putting bleach on my hair so accidentely flung a glop into my eye. It hurt like h**l. She stood for a while stunned and had difficulties telling me how to get it out. She put my head in the sink and rinsed out my eye for a minute. Some other workers overheard the comotion and told her I need to get it out. I rinsed it out. Later she told another worker who came in later what had happened. The co-worker looked at her and asked why she didn't use the eye drops. What!
Is this a total incompentent worker? Why didn't she know the correct way to deal with it?
Now eight hours later to make matters worse, my eye is sore and my vision blurs once a while. What should I do? I want to get my eye examined tomorrow and have the the salon pay for the bill. What do you think? This has been a complete nightmare. My color looks awful on top of it.
Answers:
I would first get it examined. Keep flushing your eye with an over the counter emergency eye wash kit. Or use spring water (not tap).
Then go back to the store and complain to the manager. Have your hair redone (for free by another person. They should redo it for free, if they want to keep their good name).
If you have serious injury to your eye then have the doctor right everything down. Take it to the salon manager and let her know you would like them to pay for it since they caused the problem (if you are fine just have them redo your hair).
If they dont pay then take them to small claims court.
I would go to an eye doctor immediatly... followed by a phone call to a lawyer... This is ridiculous. Make sure you do this right away. Dont tell anyone else...
I'd call the salon up, and explain you're having problems with your eye, and you're going to the dr. and expect them to pay for it. They'll probably already be thinking liability and law suit, so I'm sure they'll agree to it, they'd be stupid not too. Then tell her your not happy with the color, and see if they offer to correct it. I'm sure they'll be very cooperative with you. Then if you want to sue, contact a lawyer.
Hon, no not tomorrow, tonight, go to the ER and get it checked out as soon as possible. You could go blind in that eye. Do it, do it NOW! Have the salon pay for it and the colorist too!
