Stupid cop or cruel cop?
Have you heard about the cop who left his canine partner in his partner in his sqadcar to die? I'm asking what should be done to the cop?
Answers:
Cops leave their canines in the car all the time, Usually the engine is running and the A/C is on. The hood is up to keep the engine for overheating while idling for long periods of time.
They are not allowed to walk around with their canines. We had that happen here in FL and it had been determined that there had been a malfunction with the A/C unit which resulted in the death of the canine. IF on the other hand, it is determined that he left the canine in the car, with no a/c, no engine running, then that is cruelty and he should be charged accordingly
He should be charged with animal cruelty just like any regular citizen would be if it were the other way around. He should be tried and if found guilty of neglect he should be punished.
NO to the NWO...
Bad cop, no doughnut
I think that falls under animal cruety, doesn't it?
Cool name, dude/dudette. I thought about using "Belgarath", but figured that nobody would make the connection.
Hopefully he will be charged with animal cruelty, just like every other jackass who leaves a poor animal to bake in a hot car.
There was in officer in the metro a couple years.
Left his k-9 in the car with the engine running and the AC going. The engine stalled and the car turned off. The car was equipped with a "hot dog" system that was supposed to sound an alarm and immediately put down the windows and turn on a giant fan in the window keep the dog cool until help arrived. For whatever reason that system also failed (did not turn on at all) and the dog ended up dieing.
Things like this are sad, but sometimes it is not the officers fault. He may have a call, meeting, lunch or something where the he can't bring the dog. K-9 officers do everything they can to keep the dog cool. But if the car fails and the safe guards fail, that is one the companies that make the products or the installers, not the officer.
He should be charged with negligent homicide!
I know, I hear everyone saying WHAT? this is animal cruelty.
While that is true, it is animal cruelty, if a suspect shoots and kills a police dog, he is charged with murder of a police officer, so if it a police officer for me and you, it is a police officer for the cop as well.
But, that is just my opinion
