Why the racial threats against Ian Johnson 4 marrying a White Girl?

I do not understand the racial threats and upstir about Boise State running back Ian Johnson marrying the White girl.

What's the point?

Afterall, it's her fault.

Answers:
I think you are right is her fault and not his or maybe her parents. But you have to understand that money talks. I bet you if Ian Johnson was not a football player making all that money the story would it being different. Money will buy anything.

I bet her daddys proud.
Most UNintelligent people like you cant understand the racial threats either. Just when you think we've made some kind of step forward, stuff like this happens. These two people will never get the chance to enjoy their lives together because they will always have to worry about some dinkweed sneaking up on them and hurting them.

EDIT:

Well, well. I guess I had you all wrong. I THOUGHT you were making an intelligent observation. But after re-reading your question, and seeing your comment to me, I guess I was wrong. Evidently, you are the part of the problem. I've made the necessary changes.
The reason that this happens is because there are people that believe what the Bible says about Your Own Kind To Your Own Kind. They feel that race mixing is wrong and that God created the different races for a reason, you have Black people that are against one of their own marrying a White person also. You will find people that believe this in any race or nationality, in the Middle East they will stone you to death for marrying the wrong person
What I find interesting--and be assurred this ISN'T being made known to us all--is the negative "racist" comments AGAINST the Johnson wedding are comming from...

...BLACKS as well as whites!! Imagine that: an opinion BOTH races can sit down to coffee and agree on.

Pinch me I must be dreaming.but I'm seeing just that right now in my chat window!! You gotta love glasnost!!

My take on the matter? I have a hunch there was some savvy "PR" work at play here, stuff to stir media interest in this "pure love" union. Hmmmm...I sense there's some other politics involved.other than just love here..at work, too. And I think the in-laws stand to gain from it..as surely Ian expects to as well..something to think about, logically.
It shows that racism is alive and well working through ignorant uneducated people in the states. These people should grow up and get better educated then they would realize people have been mixing for centuries way back in ancient times! Why blame her?? Their is no blame and so what if they are in love ?! It does not matter to them what Joe Blow thinks ...maybe Joe Blow should worry about his own pathetic life nistead of worrying about someone elses!
I read someone comment somewhere else that only whites are racist ! Well being not black or white.(mix of South american /chinese/german and portugese ) I have had racist remarks from both blacks and whites !!
While travelling to the states I was told by one white guy "it's okay for me to be with my husband as he can tell I am not black!?" what sort of a racist comment was that !
