It sounds like your from england, so I'm not sure what the law says there, but in the US, normally you have a maximum of 1 to 3 years (depends on the state) from which to bring a medical malpractice claim (called the statute of limitations). The time starts to run from when the alleged incident of malpractice was discovered or when it could have reasonable been discovered. There is a loophole for minors, however. If the legal guardians did not file a claim, then the statute of limitations begins to run at the age of majority (18 in the US). So, if your 21 you may have missed your window of opportunity or it may be coming up quickly. Check with an attorney quickly.

sounds like a money maker..call a greedy attorney and get your fair share ......
the first doctor should loose his liscense get cho money
you could sue, but there is usually a statute of limitations on how long you can wait. i have a feeling it has been too long if this happened when you were 8 and now 21.
um.I think your time has passed. The problem was corrected, so you were not damaged. You cannot get a payoff for what might have happened.
