Is legal action possible in this situation?
ive been threaten over the internet after this fight with a friend.
I'm just curious,
cann i take this to court to get a restraining order or something?
&& if i can is it possible to win?
i saved all documents,
but i dont think i have a witnes besides my mom.
PLEASE HELP.

You've got some wrong answers here. To get a restraining order, the threat doesn't have to be a death threat. You also do not have to call the police (necessarily), though it helps.
Generally, to get a restraining order, you have to be in fear for your physical safety. You could be in fear because of threats, prior physical violence, your earlier relationship, etc. If you have the documents, you can probably get a restraining order. However, you should contact an attorney, who can help you navigate the process and make sure that you properly demonstrate all of the elements required to make out a case in your jurisdiction.
Go and speak with your police dept and show them you documentation. They will direct you from there according to the laws of your state.
Only if the threat involes death upon someone...otherwise...it is the internet...chill

What do you mean you didn't say that? I saved it, see? And several of my best friends are my witness that you said that.
I really don't think taking the problem to court, unless the person who's threating you is from your own state or city!
Like many will say, Internet is Internet! But if the threats are dangerous ones and really worry you, it would be smarter to change your internet screen name and email address and try to see how things would be then with the person seeing they'd have no way of threating you on the internet anymore!
Plus the best way to make the person pay for there threating actions, Is to get a hold of there internet provider and explain the problem your having with one of there members, I'm sure they wouldn't take it very lightly what is happing to you, even send them copies of the threating emails!
If in fact the person who is threating you, lives in your state or city, take the evidence you have and go to the police or call for one to come over! some times people just threaten because it makes them feel good and makes them feel they have power over someone! But in todays world of nutty people any threat is to many!
And no one should ever have to put up with it no matter who's at fault, it's better to get the problem solved before it escalates to something way bigger! But changing your internet email address and screen name would be a #1 best thing to do right away! That alone could be enough to stop anymore threats!
