We don't hang enough people for treason these days, do we?
Answers:
if we did half the democratic party would be gone.
We don't hang people these days at all.
LOL !
I'll vote with you.
No, Aldrich Ames, the CIA traitor who sold names of Russian agents helping the US to the KGB (getting them all killed), is still alive. If anybody deserved a firing squad, it was that guy.
If you mean as in manipulating elections, allowing corporate lobbyists to write our laws, imposing religious fundamentalism on society and invading foreign countries under false and manufactured evidence then we sure don't!
Your right, we don't
Yea, I don't think anyone has been hanged for a crime since the 1960s.
Is there an actual question in there, or did you just watch "Mississippi Burning" and get nostalgic for the old days?
I know what you mean. People should be punished more severely for the crimes they are committing. We studied capital punishment recently in school and it rose many different points of view.
There are loads of different ways to look at it really:
1. Someone who causes pain and suffering to the world is someone you would want to suffer for what they did. You'd think them to be scum.
2. You wouldn't want any of your family to be hung regardless of what they did. They're still someone you care about.
3. After the punishment has been sentenced and they are hung, what if you found out you got the wrong person. Theres no going back there is there and there would be a major ta-do about how the government was so wrong.
I don't think capital punishment should be re-enforced.
Sorry if this reply is kinda boring for you or not what you expected but im in a serious mood. LOL
