How do I go about getting my name off of a website that they personally attacked me on?
My name was put on a car website because I didn't give someone a deposit back after they didn't pick up their automotive parts at my house after they had been sitting there for 4 months. I told the guy that the deposit was non-refundable. So a long story short.. They attacked me on a website and put up all personal information about me on the site, stuff that is not true. Is there anything I can do about this? I threatened with legal action a while ago, but never followed through because I cannot afford it. Is there any other way besides paying for www.reputationdefender.com? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try contacting the webmaster of that site.
Sue them for defamation of character. If they are directly attacking you and your business with lies, then they are liable for any loss of business you have had happen to you.

Submit an explanation to the webmaster. Maybe their whole website would be deleted.
This is defamation of chracter, and you can get a variety of legal aid some will defend you and take a percentage of your settlement. There are a number of legal groups that will work to fit your budget as well. You should definitly take legal action though, I'm sure it will end up being more effective and less expensive then the reputation defender website you suggested.
