What is equitable titles?

Answers:
I don't think that term exists.

If you gain title for equitable reasons, then you have title, not equitable title.

Maybe you should explain what it is that you're referring to, so someone can answer the question properly.

The closest to "equitable title" I can think of would be:

1. A situation where a person SHOULD have title, but doesn't, perhaps because the deed was filed incorrectly, or there was some bad faith on the part of the Seller/title-holder

2. A situation, like adverse possession, where a person has met a requirement to have gained title, but doesn't have legal title yet

3. A situation called "equitable conversion", where the contract to sell property has been signed, but the closing hasn't occurred yet, and the Buyer has rights as if the Buyer has title.

Hi,
I guess by equitable that you mean what is equal to something else.
For what it is worth, I have a Ph.D, which makes me a Doctor, but a medical doctor is only in possesion of an admin post, and the title is an honourary one.
My honourary thing, as a civilan working for the RAF was Squadron Leader, so that I could bow to a Wing Commander, but a Flight Lute had to follow my ideas.
It is all daft, in that we must have some structure, to preserve a system. But I know that I am equable to an Army Major, or a small ships' Captain.
Oh, just call me Bob !
when i did a law degree i found out all the information i needed for myself, without relying upon others, who are probably bullshitters.
When property is held in trust, the trustees will have legal title to it, in the sense that it is registered in their name and they will carry certain responsibilities before the law in respect of it, but the beneficiaries (the people for whose benefit the trust has been set up) will have equitable title to it, i.e. they will receive the benefit from the property in question. For example: while your children are small, you may open savings accounts in their name and take responsibility for running them on behalf of the children, but ultimately the capital and interest in them will accrue to the childen and not to you, as they have a beneficial -- or equitable -- interest in them.
