I still haven't gotten my paycheck yet!?

At my work, everyone is supposed to get their paychecks on the 20th and the 5th. On July 20th, there was no check for me. I told my manager who told my boss, who said he'd get it to me soon. A week later and I still don't have my money. I tell my manager who tells my boss, who says, "What? You never got it? I'm so sorry, we'll have it for you by Monday." I sure how he's telling the truth.

When I go in to get my paycheck tomorrow, is there something I should say to my boss, like, "This isn't going to happen again, right?" See, I DON'T want it to hapen again, and I want to tell him that. But I don't want to sound too threatening. What is a good thing I should say to him to get my point across, and also should I take any extra actions?

Communications can be important. I would ask "Is there anything that I can do to make sure this doesn't happen again?" That gets your point across without creating the image that your are going to be a pain in the neck.

Let him know that a timly resolution will keep you from advising the labor relations board (who protect people from abuse over reportng things) of the extent of the problem
Maybe the better approach is to inquire why the check was late and work to eliminate the root cause. Supervisors normally just track hours and distribute checks. Badgering or threatening your supervisor if he was not the source of the problem could be counterproductive. Accounting or payroll creates the checks. Contact the HR department..
When you get it, can I borrow five ?
