Is there a website that you can check crime rates or what certain areas are like in bradford?
Answers:
Yes, almost all police departments in every city, small town, etc., keeps stats on their area. I would try Bradford's city/town's website and see what comes up or contact the police department directly and ask for the website to get this information. They should readily give you this right down to the street you are interested in moving/living on. Hope everything works out well for you. God bless!

Try the UCR (which stands for Uniform Crime Report!)
http://www.upmystreet.com/
I believe www.upmystreet.co.uk has statistics like this.
Another Loaded Question? with an hidden agenda
Now why would you be interested in Bradford?
I have no idea where Bradford is on planet Earth, but here's the situation where I live.
# 1 ... the local police have a web site. It includes on a map, where there have been various crimes reported ... rape, burglary, muggings, etc. etc. I can look at the map on basis of a week of crimes, a month, etc. to see where most of certain types of crimes are happening. They are marked with a special icon for type of crime, frequency.
# 2 ... Each community is required to report to the national law enforcement community (in case of USA that's FBI & Department of Justice) annual statistics on # incidents of various crimes in their community ... serious stuff like car theft, murders ... not minor stuff like domestic disputes or purse snatchings
You can then look up the national statistics to compare crime rates ... against persons, against property ... for major metropolitan areas vs. national averages
I think you would get better response if you were to put this question in category Police, and identify which city of Bradford in the world, what nation, where in that nation, since there must be hundreds of thousands of cities in the world, and it is not reasonable to expect that people on freelawanswer.com would know where you talking about.
