Is there a return policy for consumers who return items after they bought it then want full refund?

I bought an item from ebay and it is defective and I do not want to exchange it just want full refund. The next day I reported it to them. Do I have any rights to full refund?

Answer:
See if it qualifies for their buyer protection program. You may have to settle for exchange.

Yes you do. It is called the Warranty of Merchantability.
Yes, you have to file a report of seller non-performance and then work it out with them whether they refund the money or wait until they get the defective merchandise back. You also need to notify the credit card or paypal you used to pay, so they are aware of the dispute. You must do this QUICKLY or lose certain administrative rights, after which you only have legal rights to sue in court (which costs time and money).
