Why is there such an out-rage about underage smoking its our own buisness what we do with our bodies.?
why do you think there is an uproar about this "scandal" its my own choosing to smoke an i am responsible with it i dont give out second hand smoke to others i smoke in my room,and it helps pay for teachers salaries.

I think you have to recognize that older people have more experience in life. No matter how right you think you are (which obviously you're not for considering smoking), older people will tell you advices that rise from the feeling of responsibility towards the society. Also, some of them have made bad decisions in their life and they regret it, so they don't want anyone to fall in the same mistake. So, I think you should be thankful for those people who care about you and your health that much.
I also believe that freedom is NOT doing what you want, but doing what you should. So if someone doesn't allow you to do what you SHOULD, they are taking away your freedom. So try to do constructive things and ask why you are not allowed to do them, because that's a bigger and a more important question.
Lastly, I just wanted to tell you that my father died 3 years ago because he got a heart stroke which doctors said it was from excessive smoking. That is one of the ways I don't wanna die.
It's not your business, it's ours. The mere fact that you're a smoking youngster indicates you're not even qualified to render a sensible opinion.
"Underage" means you don't have the right to make life decisions for yourself yet. Smoking is a life decision that can have permanent repercussions, including addiction and major health problems. Once you're an adult, you're considered better able to make that decision for yourself. But as long as you're underage, you're not supposed to be allowed to compromise your future that seriously.
The problem is, smoking is highly addictive. You may think it's cool now, but in a few years, you will wish you had never started.

As long as you are a minor (under 18) the law says you can't make decisions for yourself. Your parents are responsible for you. Just like tattoos, piercings, contracts.you can't do any of them as a minor. Minor's tend to only think of today and not look down the road ahead of them.
Because when you've been smoking for 20 years and you're flat broke with no health insurance, and you're in the hospital having your larynx removed and a mechanical voice box put in, MY taxes will pay for the surgery to save your life.
You are simplistic about it. It may be your own choosing to smoke and your responsibilty now. But it is an estabilsihed fact that smoking is dangerous to health. Sooner or maybe later, you damage your system. You will not argonize in your room. You will instead find a hospital: you pile up pressure on public facilities and expenditure. If you die, it will not be your responsibility what happens to the corpse etc. What is the pleasure in smoking which should be enough to counterbalance its health hazard and the offensive ordour oozing out of your body? You know many people will not tell you this, certainly I would not tell you exactly like this in a face to face intercourse, but do you know how many people who are repelled just bcos of your terrible habit of smoking? I suggest this to you: try only one week without smoking and compare how you feel with how you feel now you sail in smoke. Just that.
