I would LOVE to see a law like this. I'd also like to see laws against the conflict of interest involved in anyone going to work for or owning stock in a company that benefited directly under his/her government--like if Cheney went back to Halliburton in '09!

You shouldn't exclude former politicians from the political process. They are still citizens and should have the right to engage in lobbying if they want to.
