How do I get inheritance money out of south africa?
my husband was born in england but grew up in south africa, he hasn't lived there for many years, his mother recently died in south africa and left him some money. We now live in australia. What is the best way to get his money out of south africa? He hasn't got south african residency any more nor does he have a bank account there.

Hire a soliciter there. Trying to move "inheritance money" out of Africa without a bank account is just going to be a scam fest, assuming this is a legitimate claim in the first place, and not just a scam looking for someone to "Help" by taking the money out for you.
go for a visit and talk to the government or just get them money and leave!
Trixie if you are living in Australia talk to your local MP he/she would be able to advise you how and who to go through here. Be very careful as there are a tremendous amount of scams in that part of the world and do not trust banks or lawyers from there. You will be advised of the correct procedures by the relevent government department that your MP will inform you of.
