She has to go through your insurance to sue. They represent you. If she got paid for the car already she might try to sue for medical damage, pain and suffering and so on. She might get all that you were covered for, but will not come after you if you have nothing to sue for. Such as a house or a big bank account. Don't worry, let the insurance take care of it.

First, this is what the insurance is for. In an accident where a car is totaled, there is likely some injuries -- and getting an attorney is smart on her part. There are things she won't be aware of that the attorney will look out for.

You don't need to worry too much. If you have nothing, she can take nothing. Most of the time, the insurance covers it all. If not -- they can't bleed a turnip.
First they go after the insurance CO. Then after you personally. If you have no assets they could possibly garnish your wages but not likely
sew or sue? Sue you? Then provide the court that your insurance company paid up for. Your insurance may have not covered all her troubles. Loss of work, loss of lifestyle. I think she will try to sue the insurance company for a whole lot more $$$. Then sue you.

Take a car driving exam. Get re-certified.
If the damages exceed $25,000 she can sue (and probably will) it doesn't matter that you don't own anything. The court (if they find in her favor) can order a garnishment against anything you get in the future.
