Do you agree that the drinking age should be lowered to 18?
In the United States it's seriously being considered. What do you think?

Absolutely not. Most 18 year olds do not have the maturity to drink responsibly. And using the military as an excuse is lame. No one forces you to join the military,you do that voluntarily.
I sure don't want to be on the road with a bunch of drunk 18 year olds who don't have alot of driving experience to begin with.

If you're old enough to go to war then you should have the right to drink
either that or push the enlisting age to 21
i rather like the German system
as it was told to me, drinking begins at 16 over there but driving does not begin until you're 18.
this lets those people who can not learn from anyone else spend two years getting drunk before they can begin to drive a car and endanger other people by driving drunk.

Um... I don't know where you heard that. The legal age WAS 18 in most states. In fact, I just missed grandfathering in by 2 months myself. Then it got raised.
There is a good reason for that. At 18, you don't have the sense that God gave a pea. You think you do, but you don't. You don't have much more than that at 21, but a pea sense is better than no sense.

I definitly think so. The draft age is 18, the tobacco age limit is 18, the voting age limit is 18 - so why is the alcohol age limit 21?
If you can go to war at 18, smoke deadly cigarettes at 18, and vote for the 'leaders' of our country at 18, you should definitly be allowed to drink at age 18.
In my opinion, 21 is just fine.
It should also be the legal age to get a driver's license, too.
Well, you are technically a legal adult at 18. You can get married, have a baby, get a job, place to live, drive a car, smoke cigarettes, go to war, make legal decisions, get arrested and get charged with a crime when you are an adult.
But you can't drink until you are 21. Some places you cannot rent a car until you are 25 years old. That for me, doesn't make much sense. Either lower the drinking age at 18 or increase the legal adult age to 21.
Another thing that bugs me...on the news if you hear about under age drinkers...ages 18-20, they call them MINORS!! That annoys me so much because you are not a minor, you are drinking under the legal age limit!
here in GB you can drink alcohol at ANY age
By which state? Every state that tried it in the past, paid a hefty price with drunk driving deaths.
