If a land lord takes me to court but drops the case do I still have to pay their legal fees?

The odds of the court awarding him his legal fees if he were to win, are also very slim (usually).
If the landlord dropped the case, then you won. The winner doesn't pay the fees or costs incurred by the other.
If he dropped the case his legal bills are his responsibility not yours...
This depends on where you live as things like this differ from state to state. As well as what circumstances of the "case" are. If there was a court appearance then most likely you are still responcible for the court costs incurred but like I said this is dependant on the state in which you live. This is a local question and needs to be answered by someone that in familiar with your states statutes.
