Answers:
stick to EBay and use pay pal.
You may not get your money back but you will help many other people from dealing with this scum. good luck

Give it time Allow a week for the correct gear or a refund. You could pursue the matter .. Is the address near enough to visit? If the aggro is too great I would forget about £8... £80 would be different .You probably feel it is a matter of principle .
Sale of Goods Act means goods sold must be fit for purpose. Go to the local library. Borrow a copy of a contract statute book. Look up Sale of Goods Act, go to s.14(2B) and s14(3) take statute book with the page marked to seller and advise he is breaking the law if he does not offer a refund or take reasonable steps to rectify the problem.

Good luck.
I have found in the past that the following usually works. Go up to this bloke and offer him a stark choice. Tell him he either pays you out of his pocket or you will take it out of his nose.

A punch on the nose usually works. At least you'll have the satisfaction of seeing him stagger backwards and hopefully be KOd.
I don't understand why you are so worried. This man seems to have gone out of his way to help you. Wait until tomorrow and see what happens.

Under the sale of goods act, what you buy must be "fit for purpose". As the charger was not fit for the purpose for which it was sold to you, then you have every right to a refund.
Best thing to do is go to your local Tradeing Standards Office, these are usualy in your local council offices.
You had a right to a refund anyway. Your statutory rights state that as the goods were not fit for their purpose the seller is obliged to offer a refund.
The Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended), the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 and the Supply of Goods (Implied Terms) Act 1973 all provide the same statutory consumer rights in relation to goods. They state that goods and goods supplied with a service must:-
match their description; and
be of satisfactory quality; and
be fit for their purpose.
Take it back, get your money back and shop elsewhere.
