Bogus teen law?

im 17 and my parents say im not allowed to have more than one person in the car when im driving. thats understandable. But wat i dont understand is they blame it on a 'teen law' that says i can only have one non family member in the car until a year into my experience. is that true?

btw i live in AZ if it makes a difference

Answer:
In Michigan you're not allowed to have more than 1 non family member under 18 until you've gotten your license, but after that we don't have restrictions like that. Are you sure your parents aren't confused about that?

We do have a graduated license, but I believe the only restrictions are the times you can drive. (like not between midnight and 5 am)

It is true, and many states have such laws based on the facts that...
1. Teens have more accidents than any other age group. Yes, more than the elderly.
2. Most teen accidents happen with friends in the car.
It's called Graduated Licensing. Live with it.
