Should people always be honest about their criminal past when applying for a job?
sometimes people answer no when asked if they have been arrested and then explain it later ,in person to the employer, if the arrests shows up on the jobs background check. is that a good thing to do?
Answers:
It is a great and honest way to say you or whoever has a criminal background. Because when your employers company does a criminal background check on this person and they find you have a criminal background, you will get fired and it will be a waste of your time. Its just so honest to state this, you did what you did and you have to live with this
You should always be honest with a perspective employer, that is if you want to keep the job after you are hired. Most of the time this is considered a cause for dismissal.
I think people should be honest about their past when applying for a job
Yes because if you lie and they find out your going to get fired
One should be honest about their criminal past when applying for a job. If you respond less than honestly on a job application and it is discovered it can cause you to be eliminated from being considered for the position. In some occupations, if you are hired and then they find you lied on your application it can be grounds for termination of your position.
You should always be truthful on a job app. because if they find out you lied later, then they won't even call you back for an interview.
The answers are good and I would like to add one more thing. If you are honest from the get go that will go along way in showing your prosepctive employer that you have changed. I would rather be denied a job for being honest then fired for lying.
