What happens at a court arraingment??

i would like to know, ive never been to one and have one in about a month, my charge is a misdemeanor for under an ounce of marijuana

Answer:
It is good that you are going to show up. If you fail to appear, a warrant will be put out for your arrest. What is going to happen is a county court deputy DA will call your name, take you into a back room, and tell you your plea options. The DA's office probably has a standard offer for marijuana. You can plead guilty and pay a fine, you can set for trial, or you can continue to get a lawyer or apply for the public defender (you will have to stand before the judge and tell him or her what you are doing). If there was anything funny about the way they found the drugs (pat down before you were arrested), you might want to talk to a lawyer. If they got you fair and square (you were smoking a joint and they came up on you) you should hope for a good deal.

At your arraignment, the judge will read the charge and you will enter a plea of guilty or not guilty. If you plead guilty, and because it is a misdemeanor, the Judge would probably sentence you at that time. Either a fine or county jail time. If you plead not guilty, a date would be set for trial.
