If your driver license expires is it still considered a valid id?

I know once it expires it is no longer a valid driver's license, but is it still considered a valid form of identification? Please list source.

Answer:
I am an Ohio Election worker. We are trained that anything with an expiration date is NOT ID the day after it expires. Depending on where you are using it, some people may let you slide for a while. Officially, an expired license is not valid for ANY purpose.

not in arizona
no get it renued
Yes. Once you expire though, well. . . no.
no
not in tx
For most legal purposes, no.

Laws vary by state. So if you want citations, check your local statutes. The above answer is standard legal practice.
no because its not longer valid
yes
Technically no..

It can Identify you, but it is not valid.

Some states I think have different rules regarding this, but CA civil code basically states that valid I.D. cannot be expired, or is no longer valid once expired or something to that effect.

I am not looking it up.
Depends on where you are using the id. Usually if the id expired more than 6 months ago places like the airport will not accept it.
The dmv issues id cards for non drivers so it would still just be an expired form of an id. If who ever you deal with does not care it will not matter but if you try to use it for a legal purpoe they will not take it. For buying beer or cashing a check it will be ok. But if someplace requires a "valid" it might not get you by.
NOT IN CANADA.
I don't think so
in Minnesota, if you don't plan on getting it valid, then you have to cut the corner of the license. You are suppose to go to the licensing place and get it changed into a license.
