Well the 16th amendment which many say was not legally ratified and there is a good argument for it.
US Title 26 Section 1 says a tax shall be levied on all invididuals etc.
So there are laws. The question is are they actually legal.
However i wouldnt recommend not paying your taxes as you have a good chance of having property taken or even being jailed.
Challenging this one is going to take a mass effort by thousands.

As for people claiming it's invalid. It was added to the Constitution by the legal process of ammending the Constitution. Suggesting it is "invalid' is just folly.

Yes, it does, along with many other laws passed since then. It gives Congress the power to assess and collect taxes.
It doesn't have to specify that people have to pay it, because the document talks about the roles and powers of government, and they just laid out that Congress has the power to assess and collect.
The 16th amendment is more of a specific clarification. Article one broadly grants the power to assess "taxes" and they don't exclude income taxes anywhere.
All of Title 26 of the United States Code, some several hundred statutes with several thousand provisions.
As authorized by the 16th Amendment, which (despite random spurious claims) was properly ratified -- in exactly the same way that the 19th Amendment (allowing women to vote) was ratified.

The sixteenth amendment doesn't exactly make the collection of taxes legal. Especially since the ones who upheld this amendment through multiple challenges receive their livelyhood through the collection of these funds, which leaves them partial and incapable of making proper decisions. Short of civil war, there is no way to get out of paying taxes. Or moving to Idaho. Interesting things concerning tax law happen there.
