How long would a 17 going on 18 year old go to jail for truancy?
He stopped going to school so the judge ordered him to get his GED but he didn't get it. How long do you think they would sentence him for that? I need answers from people who actually know what they are talking about. This is serious for me.
Answers:
My cousins mom pulled him out of public school and tryed the online homeschooling but he stopped doing it and when the school asked for proof, they obviously didn't have it and he got 30 days probation and i think 50-60 hours of community service.
I don't know, but "the system" is wrong for bullying you, in violation of your constitutional rights, in my humble opinion.
Under what premise are they justified for compelling you into involuntary servitude or attendance?
I am insisting that they fill out the blanks below and answer:

I'm not happy that my public servants haven't answered yet (they can't pull rank on me).
My friend had to go to a boarding school...well not exactly a boarding school but kind of like one she was 16...she was there for alittle over a year and it sucked but she was alot better because of it
most likely he'll be sentenced to Juvenille Hall till 18, possibly 21, if the judge feels it is necessary. Where he will be required to finish school. But he won't be looking at going to a real jail I am pretty sure. They may just hold him till he graduates. If he is your son, I would explain to him the severity of the charge and what could possibly happen to him. Talk him in to enrolling in GED classes and help him graduate. If he is enrolled in classes by the time he goes to court for not getting his GED to begin with they may be leinient on him. Good luck
Here's the problem: you are not talking truancy, you are talking contempt of court. The time the Judge ordered for the original crime is what will determine how much time he will serve for ignoring the Judge's orders. If you can tell us what the original crime was, you will get a better answer.
here where I live they cant do much but give community service and take his drivers license away till he reaches 18 and after he is 18 they can not do anything
