I was mislead and unjustly dismissed from my job...what next?
My boss told me that I was never under contract and that I had no job but that I could reapply. I live in Laredo, Texas. I always thought that I had a contract and that is because I have a salary and benefits like everyone else. I am confused and concern. what do i do next? He did give me a good letter of reference.

Clearly they don't want your services, or they would have kept you... you should take that letter of reference and look for a new job
Call your State labor Department and/or go to your State's website and look up labor laws. If they broke the law, you can file a complaint.
What do you do next? Get of FreeLawAnswer.com and go and get another job. If they wanted you to continue to work for them they would not have let you go.
If you have a contract, it's real simple. You and the employer signed a piece of paper, just find the paper you signed from your files. Oh, you didn't save the paper, or you never signed one in the first place? Then (since you either can't prove you had a contract or never had one) you're considered an "at-will" employee and they can fire you (and you can quit) at any time and without notice. The only exception would be if you can prove they fired you for an illegal reason, such as because of your race, color, sex, or similar reasons. There's not much you can do unless you have some reasonable suspicion to believe you were terminated for an illegal reason, in which case you'd need an attorney.
Take your letter of recommendation, go look for another job and in the mean time, collect unemployment.
