Emancipated Minors and Online Solicitation?
We all know from watching Dateline NBC that adults soliciting minors on the internet can land them into alot of serious trouble. Everyone looks at it as a "taboo" subject.
I am an emancipated minor who is going to travel in a few weeks to another state (Washington)to visit a friend from school. While on my stay I am wanting some female companionship for an evening. Even though the law says that I am legally an adult because I am emancipated from my parents, can I get into trouble if I offer financial assistance to an adult female for companionship? Financial assistance can be translated as groceries, clothing, and other gifts.The reason I ask is that I have contacted a lady who I have explained the whole situation to as well as she is aware of my age and she has agreed to meet me.

It's called solicitaion of prostitution. It's illegal. You'll be charged with trying to hire a hooker. She may be charged with prostitition, sexual battery on a child, and/or solicitation.
He/she didn't say they were having sex. Do what you want, pal, and forget these sexless losers.
If you are legally emancipated then you can do whatever you want as long as it is within the legal confines of the law. You didn't say that you were having sex but can be implied that that is what you are looking for. Most women would say no to you but there are some that look the other way.
