How old do you have to be to legally own a weapon in California?

By "weapon," I don't mean guns.
I'm thinking along the lines of... swords..
Anything but guns.

Answers:
I do not know of any California state laws which regulate minors' possession of any weapon (otherwise lawful to possess) other than firearms and ammunition.

I've always been one of those people who insists upon carrying multiple knives everywhere I go. I got that way because I was abused as a kid, and discovered how the world really worked, very quickly. Since I was about eight, I've always carried multiple knives. Because I was a kid, I couldn't buy weapons, because I was under eighteen. But what I could do was have my mom buy them for me. You can legally have a weapon if you have a note from your parents giving you permission to carry them. That's the law. But basically as long as you don't go waving them around it doesn't matter much.
