Felony theft of property charge .?

If a person works somewhere and is "hooking up" people with like clothes and stuff and they get caught and the company is trying to say they stole like $20,000 worth of stuff and they have never been in any trouble what will usually happen? Will they just have to pay restitution and have probation or will jail time be included? Will it be able to be expunged in the end??

Answer:
depends on what state ur in, the judge and legal represantation,, right now looks like ur looking at grand theft and maybe a conspiracy charge.,dont let the big words scare you remember the police are a very small part of the judidial sytemas long as you have a good lawyer if u have apublic pretender ur their word is law(sad fact but true) get a good lawyer and keep ur mouth shut.. u r probably looking at some severe county time and very hefty probation,,and a crap load of fines..

probably won't be expunged. could be jail time and restitution. depends on what kind of deal will be worked out with the company. i guess that person should stop being stupid and giving friends stuff, eh? and learn your lesson from this.
