I got attacked what should i do ?
hi there, a guy approached me at a shopping centre called meadowhall. he was very abusive towards me and i retaliated back. And me and my brother got thrown out of the shopping centre by security guards. There where like 10security guards pusshing and shoving us and swearing at us. I felt very threatened and was very afraid to speak. My brother who is only 17 got pushed and shoved against the walla really hard by them. And he has hurt his back and shoulder. Where does he stand ? could he claim personal injury ?

Request security cctv footage from the shops in the centre to prove your innosence and then take them to court

Definatly! dont let them get away with it - if it was a big shopping center, then u cud get a bit of money there, especailly if, as u say, u wer frightened, and didnt fight back, then they ahd no reason to remove you with so much force! You should definatly complain and get one of those injury lawyers - im sure they'll luv this!
i would go back and tell the manager or head of security what these guys did and threaten to sue if action is taken. make sure your brother sees a doctor as well.
Why did the guy approach you and your brother in the first place, Are you telling the whole story ? If you are innocent then report it to the police, The s/c has cameras and there lies the proof..

Yes. Your brother can make a bodily injury claim, if he incurs any medical expenses. You both can make personal injury claims for false arrest. You may have to hire an attorney.

Yes my sister once was shoplifting but the security guard bruised her wrist from holding her to hard and she got her fired.
You should go back with your parents/guardians to the head of security services and complain. If they're not cooperative with your complaint, then I would recommend going to the police/ contacting a lawyer. I am saying this only because your brother is hurt. Otherwise, don't bother; it's just a hassle.
If you retaliated as you say then you willingly entered into the fight. You have to expect security to use force to stop the fight, as it endangers other customers. I think you should be thankful that you were not charged, rather than wonder if a lawsuit can be filed. That's really low.

yes of course , and meadowhall has a damn lot of cctv so you coukld probably get proof , firsdt tell the cops what happened as this will be needed really as a form of proof .

Well depending on how physical you and your brother got towards the guards they could easily claim you were being forceful and unruly and had to use excessive force to remove you from the premises. If the guy who had approached you actually hit you and then you defended yourself and then the guards took you down without messing with the other guy because maybe they knew him,you may have a possible chance in a case.But I think that if none suffered any real threatning injuries besides your dignity and manlyness then just shake it off and shop at another shooping mall,it will cost you more to take it to court than to forget about it.Have your bro checked by a doctor and if his injuries aren't life threatining then move on and go about your life,but if he really sustained a real bad injury then you can get compensated for that.Talk to a doctor and then maybe a lawyer. hope this helps.

Whether or not you did anything wrong, they used excessive force to remove you, unless you were violently refusing to leave. Contact the police.
As for claiming, no idea.
yh claim for a injury and also go to the person in charge of security and tell them what happened hopefully then the guards will get sacked
