If a volunteeer member on a registered charities committee is abusive to fellow member what can be done?

Answers:
What does "abusive" mean? Verbally? Sexually? Psychologically?

In any case, you can certainly ask the person to stop, then ask the chairperson to take action, not to mention having the person removed by organizational procedures. You can indeed "fire" a volunteer, and I have seen it done several times. In fact, failing to properly handle such a situation would be grounds for discipline of the chairman or worse.

Well, since the party is a "volunteer", they can't be fired, per se... but if a majority of the members of the panel are offended by this party's actions, a motion can be made to request that the party resign.

If, on the other hand, this is a case of "someone hurt my feelings", I would suggest that BOTH parties grow up and act your age rather than your shoe size.

This *IS* America, after all - and people have a right to speak their minds.
